Mapiklar sedimentation units are used for removing the particles (insoluble pollutants) from precipitation water.
Sedimentation can be used either as an independent unit, but more often as the first step in treatment of precipitation water, which is followed by an oil separator.
They consist of ribbed poypropylene (PP) pipes. Rigid structure allows for their use under roads and parking areas, wherein additional concrete protection is not necessary. They may also be used in terrains with high levels of groundwater. In such cases concrete may be used to compensate for the buoyancy force.
Standard units have a diameter of 1000mm, their length is between 3m and 18m. Sedimentation unit may also be combined with a shaft for an easier access and cleaning.
